The venue is located in the grounds of Schloss Pötzleinsdorf, which also houses the Rudolf-Steiner-Schule Pötzleinsdorf.

* Take the Tram 41 (connected through U6 at stop "Währinger Straße" or S45 at stop "Gersthof") to the final stop "Pötzleinsdorf"; continue on foot up Geymüllergasse (approx. 5min) and turn left into the car park.
* There is also ample free parking directly in front of the palais!

Alan Burgon

Alan trained at the ‘Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama’; recently renamed ‘Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’. After graduating in 2008 he was granted a yearlong contract with the ‘Dundee Rep Theatre’. His credits there include: Nugget ‘Eqqus’, Ensemble ‘Peer Gynt’, Derek ‘Quelques Fleurs’, Nick ‘Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf’, Beast/Prince ‘Beauty and the Beast’, The Recruiter/Young Soldier/Young Peasant ‘Mother Courage’. Since moving to Vienna he has appeared on stage at the International Theatre as: Various roles ‘A Christmas Carol’, Inspector Goole ‘An Inspector Calls’, Greg ‘Relatively Speaking’, Ensemble ‘Mark Twain’s America’. He has also appeared as Dan ‘Butterflies are free' for ‘Vienna’s English Theatre’, and Jason ‘Ordinary Days’ for ‘Vienna Theatre Project.

Film credits include: Orlando ‘Grimm’s Snow White’, ‘The Asylum’.

Alan is Open House Theatre's General Manager, as well as an author and director.

Maria Lohn

Maria Lohn received her acting training at the Konservatorium der Stadt Wien, as well as at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland through the Erasmus university exchange program. Credits include: Emilia in Shakespeare’s "The Winter’s Tale"; Angelica in "Cinderella"; Young Woman in the Vanishing Point Theatre Company’s production "Hidden"; Antigone in "Oedipus at Colonus" (co-production with the National Theatre of Scotland); Mother in Howard Barker’s "Wounds to the Face".

After returning to Austria she performed at the Dschungel Wien (Lotte in "Werther - The Playlist" by Holger Schober), became an ensemble member of the Wiener Klassenzimmertheater and attended several theatre festivals, such as the Schäxpir Festival Linz and the Szene Bunte Wähne Festival. Three of her shows were nominated for the Stella Award 2011 and 2012. One of them won the Jury’s Choice Award at the Domino Theaterfestival Göttingen in 2011. For Open House Theatre she played Titania in "Midsummer Night's Dream", Lady Capulet in "Romeo and Juliet" and Hedda Gabler in "Hedda". Radio, Film and TV credits include: „Acting Up“ (BBC Radio Scotland), „Es kann nichts passieren“ (Silberne Diana for best short film 2014), „Straight to REM“ (shortlisted for the Cannes Short Film Festival 2014). She also appears in the new ORF TV-series „Altes Geld“ by David Schalko and in the ORF/ZDF TV-series Soko Kitzbühel.

Maria is also a company's ensemble member.

Eric Lomas

Eric is one of Open House Theatre founding members and departed from the company in September 2015 to pursue other matters. Currently he's executive director of Shakespeare in Styria.

Hannah Neuhuber

Hannah was born and raised in Vienna and finished school in 2013/14. She started her photography-college in 2014 at The Graphische in Vienna. She is now in her first year and will finish with a Diploma in 2016. She started to take pictures with fifteen and joined the Open House Theatre Company from their first play. She also has a passion for theatre, as a photographer and as an actress. She played several roles in school-productions and Hermia in Open House Theatres Summer production “A Midsummernights Dream”. She is now studying and has several photography-jobs besides her college.

Nick Bottom
Robert G. Neumayr

Robert studied musical theatre at 'Performing Arts Studios Vienna'. He's been working in the performing arts for more than ten years now. After graduating engagements have taken him to the Raimund Theater, Theater der Jugend, Opera Graz, Volkstheater and the off-theatre scene in Vienna, Berlin, Munich, Bolzano and Ljubljana.

Favourite parts have included Charlie Brown in “Charlie Brown”, The Eldest Magician in “Just So”, The Bullfrog in “Honk!”, The Cheshire Cat in “Alice in Wonderland”, Oliver Hardy in “Laurel & Hardy”, Clown in “A Winter's Tale” and Nick Bottom in “A Midsummer Night's Dream”. He's been working as an author and director for the past few years, and credits include "A Christmas Carol", "The Timekeepers", "The Turn of the Screw" and "Hypnosis".

Robert is Open House Theatre's Artistic Director and to keep the balance he's also a freelance programmer under the label „icatcher.at“

Kevin Perry

Kevin was born in Chichester, England. At the age of 16 he began his professional education with a scholarship on a 3 year Diploma course in Musical Theatre at Laine Theatre Arts, London. During his education Kevin began to gain professional experience working for Qdos Entertainment in pantomimes across Britain (Alban Arena, St Albans; New Victoria Theatre, Woking; Kings Theatre, Edinburgh).

Upon graduating Kevin was offered a role in the Original German production of the smash-hit musical "We Will Rock You" (Musical Dome, Cologne) and again later in Vienna (Raimund Theater). Other Austrian Credits include Swing in "Tanz der Vampire" (Ronacher Theater, Vienna), Diesel in "West Side Story" (Stadttheater Klagenfurt), Polyhymnia in "Xanadu" (Stadttheater Baden) and Joe Vegas in "Fame" (Opernhaus Graz). Kevin has also performed in many other productions across Europe including "West End Laine" (Aldwych Theatre, London), the UEFA Euro 2008 Final (Ernst Happel Stadium, Vienna) and as choreographer for the ORF series "Voll stark".

Christine Thorne

Christine trained as an actress at La Compagnie Maritime in Montpellier. She holds a BA in English and French and a French Master's Degree in Theatre Studies. Christine was a member of the Youth Ensemble at Theater im e.novum, Lüneburg, for 8 years. Some of her favourite productions were: “Peer Gynt”, “Yvonne die Burgunderprinzessin”, and “Baal”.

Since moving to Vienna in 2013 and joining Open House Theatre, Christine's credits include: Quince in A Midsummer Night's Dream, Margaret in Much Ado about Nothing, as well as Jack in Jack and the Beanstalk, Lily in Lily in Fairytale Land, and Dick in Dick Whittington and his Cat. She also worked behind the scenes as an assistant director for A Christmas Carol, The Picture of Dorian Gray, and An Evening Of(f), and is Open House Theatre's Social Media Assistant.

Julia C. Thorne

Julia is a bilingual actress. Since graduating from drama school in Hamburg in 2010, she has worked both in English and in German theatre. Previous work includes: Carol in David Mamet's “Oleanna” at Theater Lüneburg, a year on tour with White Horse Theatre (parts included Nancy in “Oliver Twist”) and Sheila Birling in the International Theatre's production of J.B. Priestly's “An Inspector Calls”.

Julia is one of the founding members of Open House Theatre. She has appeared in “A Christmas Carol” (2012 and 2013), “The Collector”, “A Midsummer Night's Dream”, “The Picture of Dorian Gray”, "An Evening Of(f)... and "Romeo & Juliet". She also works as the company's Educational Manager, in which capacity she is responsible for writing the annual children's show (“Dick Whittington and his Cat”, “Jack and the Beanstalk”) and organising workshops and performances in schools.

Julia is Open House Theatre's Educational Manager, as well as one of the founding members of the company.

Michael Zwiauer

Michael was born in Vienna and raised bilingually in German and Italian. He discovered his passion for theatre during a number of school productions in both English and German and will pursue an acting career by auditioning for various drama schools in the UK over the next year.

His credits include Grandpa in 'You Can't Take it With You', Benvolio/Paris in 'Romeo & Juliet', Baron in 'The Madwoman of Chaillot', Demetrius in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' in English and German, Romeo in the German version of "Romeo and Juliet" (both for Open House Theatre) and most recently the title role in a production of Erich Kästner's "Emil und die Detektive" at Theater der Jugend Wien.

Maria Krebs

Maria has been working as a costume designer and maker for over 12 years. She first started her collaboration with Eric Lomas on a musical adaptation of "A Christmas Carol", where she costumed a cast of 35. Since then, all of Lomas' productions were overseen by her.

Credits elsewhere include "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", "Twelfth Night", "The Taming of the Shrew", "The Merry Wives of Windsor" , "The Tempest" and "Romeo and Juliet" for Shakespeare in Styria, "Nur Ruhe", "Die Papiere des Teufels" (Nestroy) and "Hayfever" (Coward) in Vienna; since its inception, Maria has been Open House Theatre’s resident costume designer and has overseen every production ("A Christmas Carol", Laurel & Hardy", "Dick Whittington", "The Collector", "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", " The Picture of Dorian Gray", "Jack and the Beanstalk", "The Timekeepers", "An Evening Of(f)", "Romeo + Juliet", "The Turn of the Screw", Izzy the Witch", "The Glass Menagerie" and "Hypnosis").

Linda Starodub

After a globe-trotting UN career, Linda opted to remain in Vienna. She was delighted to discover a way to fuel her passion for all things theatre, by assisting in a various ways during rehearsals of OHT productions. She previously contributed, on stage and off, to amateur theatre in her native Toronto, and during her UN assignments in Sierra Leone, Ethiopia, New York and Bonn.

She has earlier assisted with Open House Theatre’s four productions of "A Christmas Carol", as well as the company’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream", "Romeo and Juliet", "An Evening Of(f)...", "Hedda", and "The Importance of Being Earnest".

Paul Elsbacher

Despite his years, Paul has had a varied career, working for companies such as Telekom Austria AG, Comparex AG and is currently assistant to the management at KBS Kleider Bauer Betriebs-GmbH. He is also studying International Economics in Vienna and has gathered experience working abroad. At Open House, Paul is our Key Accountant and acts as producer of our productions. He liases with our corporate and private sponsors and, during times of performances, works as Front of House Manager.
